Hey Everybody, some of you have heard, and many of you haven’t, but I have begun my first try at creative writing. While in Peru, I received some inspiration that came in the form of an idea for a novel. I’ve been working on it, and officially have written an introduction, or first chapter. It’s still a bit rough, but when the editing is done I’ll be posting it on the site soon. Can’t wait for some feedback!

Well, I’m back! Been a week now and I thought it was about time I start writing again. I honestly don’t even know how to begin to explain how incredible my trip was. There’s also a lot of it that just can’t be put into words—just pure experience—so I’ll keep it short. From hiking  through ancient ruins, taking tours through colonial Lima, getting to ride a Peruvian Paso horse, and flying in the smallest plane ever to see the Nazca Lines, it’s safe to say I had quite a unique adventure. Peru really has been my all-time favorite trip. I don’t think I’ve ever been to a place with so many different niches—highlands, desert, coast, urban, valley. I really have to thank all the amazing tour guides we had and all the incredible people we met along the way. It’s been unreal, and I’m not quite sure how I’m supposed to come back and begin the arduous journey of job hunting.

Thank you, Peru, for the amazing journey and for a year’s worth of inspiration! Trust that I’ll be back soon!
